PRODUCTION OF GRAPHITE-COATED PARTICLES OF NUCLEAR FUEL BY THE FLUIDIZED BED PROCESS (in German)

Journal Article · · changed to MTLLA
OSTI ID:4703370

For the production of graphite-coated fuel particles, a semi-automatic high-temperature fluidized bed installation was developed. It permits graphite layers to be deposited from the pyrolytic decomposition of hydrocarbons at temperatures up to 2200 deg C. The properties of the particles were discussed on the basis of microscopic studies. The stability and fission product retention of the fuel particles were considered. (tr-auth)
