For the production of dense graphite coatings on nuclear fuel powder particles, mainly uranium- and thoriumcontaining carbides, a semi-automatic high- temperature fluidized-bed apparatus on a pilot plant scale was designed. The coatings are formed by pyrolytic decomposition of hydrocarbons. The apparatus can be operated at temperatures up to 2200 un. Concent 85% C. (auth)
