STUDIES ON GRAFT COPOLYMERIZATION OF STYRENE TO POLYPROPYLENE BY PRE- IRRADIATION BY $gamma$-RAY IN AIR (in Japanese)

Journal Article · · Proc. Japan Conf. Radioisotopes
OSTI ID:4684262

Studies on properties of homogeneous graft copolymer of polypropylene- styrene are attempted. As the first step, graft copolymerization by the pre- irradiation method is performed. Effects of atmosphere, temperature, dose rate, and total dose of irradiation, and of temperature and time of polymerization, on the graft percent and the graft efficiency are clarified. Variations of tensile strength and percent elongation of the grafted film with the graft percent are also measured. (JAIF)
