RADIOISOTOPES FOR COARSE ORE CONCENTRATION. Final Report, January 15, 1962

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4683238
The applications of radioisotopes for sorting coarse ore lumps according to copper content are investigated by two methods: selective adsorption of radioisotopes on certain minerals and exposure of minerals to a neutron beam to produce differences in activity. The development and operation of sorting devices employing a scintillation counter and flipping gate are described. (N.W.R.)
