Designs for two closed vacuum systems for a betatron in the energy range of 25 Mev with a titanium pump that provides a vacuum of (1--3) x 10/sup -6/ mm Hg in the chamber are described. The betutron vacuum system with the titanium pump was compared with an oil-vapor diffusion pump and unsoldered chambers. Characteristics of semisoldered chambers were included. (tr-auth)
