MEASUREMENTS OF SMALL EXPOSURES OF GAMMA RADIATION WITH CaSO$sub 4$:Mn RADIOTHERMOLUMINESCENCE

A system for measurements of small exposures of gamma radiation using CaSO/sub 4/: Mn thermoluminescence was developed. The construction and performance of a read-out apparatus is described as well as the construction and characteristics of a simple dosimeter. The reproducibility of the method at various exposures is estimated. 20 mu r of 1 Mev gamma radiation can be measured with a reproducibility within plus or minus 50% (standard deviation). (auth)
