A THERMOLUMINESCENT DOSIMETER (in German)

Journal Article · · Kernenergie (East Germany)
OSTI ID:4746123
The preparation of CaSO/sub 4/:Mn crystals, the construction and propefiies of a thermoluminescent dosimeter prepared using these crystals, the test apparatus, and the first results obtained with it are described. Gamma radiation doses between 0.01 and 10,000 r could be measured. The dosimeter has very small dimensions and is not sensitive to neutrons. It is also suitable as an accident dosimeter through its large fading since the radiation energy is not continuously accumulated in contrast to fading-free crystals. (tr-auth)
