BS>A reactor fuel element assembly consisting of a graphite sleeve containing a cluster of fuel elements is patented. The fuel elements are positioned to their ends by one or more rings at each end of the sleeve. When the assembly is placed end-to-end with a similar assembly, adjoining ring surfaces permit laminar flow of coolant through the sleeves. The rings have a hollow, semi-elliptical cross section.
