A phase diagram was constructed at 800 and 900 deg C, and thermal resistance was studied as a function of composition. The highest thermal resistance was found with 40 to 50 at.% Ni/sub 3/Nb and with 90 wt% Ni/sub 3/Nb; the lowest with 70 wt% Nl/sub 3/Nb. The lowest creep was observed with 90 at % Ni/sub 3/Nb and 10 at.% Ni/sub 3/Al, the highest creep was noticed at the eutectic point (70 at.% Ni/sub 3/Nb). (R.V.J.)
