Comparison of repair processes after uv- and photodynamic action in Proteus mirabilis

Journal Article · · Stud. Biophys., v. 36-37, pp. 253-257

From internatlonal conference on the bases of the biological effects of ultraviolet radiation; Brno, Czechoslovalda (2 Oct Differences between repair processes were stated by means of repair-inhibitors. Caffeine inhibits only the repair of DNA after uv-inactivation. After photodynamic action, quinacnine has the same effects as described for repair of x-ray damage. These results are in good agreement with the phenolypic characterization of the bacterial strains examined. (auth)
