From international conference on the bases of the biological effects of ultraviolet radiation; Brno, Czechoslovakia (2 Oct 1972). A mutant of Escherichia coli that shows a striking decrease in repair capacity at elevated temperaiures is described. Differences in repair from lesions caused by uv irradiation, mitomycin C, and photodynamic action are discussed. Figures are presented to show survival curves following irradiation at different temperatures and after treatment with mitomycin C. (HLW)
