Report on Geiger Counter Technique
- Naval Research Lab. (NRL), Washington, DC (United States)
An investigation of the possibilities of utilizing Geiger-Muller counters for rapid inspection with penetrating radiations has been undertaken at the Naval Research Laboratory. Preliminary results, reported in NRL Report M-1799, indicate that the counter, even in its simplest form, is sufficiently sensitive to make its use more advantageous than the usual photographic techniques in many cases.
