Experimental therapy of the postirradiation blood coagulation disorder (in Czech)

It is shown that epsilon -aminocaproic acid, administered orally at the dosage level of 0.4 g/kg/day to dogs subjected to whole-body irradiation, will improve in part the postirradiation blood coagulation disorder. In experiments made on rats, rabbits, and dogs subjected to whole-body irradiation, it was shown that ellagic acid, administered by the intravenous route, will markedly reduce the bleeding time and favourably influence some blood coagulation tests.
