Translated from Prib. Tekh. Eksp.; 16: No. 4, 85-87(1973) A CsI(Tl) crystal is used as a scintillator and a Cherenkovradiation radiator (n = 1.8). The Cherenkov component of the light flash can be used in order to convert the scintillation counter into an instrument that allows particles traveling in a stipulated direction to be isolated.
