Translated from Prib. Tekh. Eksp.; 16: No. 4, 109-110(1973). A sensitive current-pulse amplitude discriminator is described which is implemented according to a flipflop circuit based on an inverted tunnel diode and is designed for connection directly into the anode circuit of a photomultiplier. The sensitivity and stability of the circuit are sufficient for its use in scintillation counters designed for low-energy measurements with fast scintillators. (auth)
