FAST NEUTRON INDUCED DISINTEGRATION OF THE C$sup 12$ NUCLEUS INTO THREE / cap alpha/-PARTICLES (in Russian)

The energy dependence of the cross section for three alpha -particle disintegration of the C/sup 12/ nucleus induced by fast neutrons is investigated from threshold energies up to 19 Mev. Information relating to variations in the mechanism of C/sup 12/ disintegration into three alpha particles in the indicated primary neutron energy range is obtained on basis of calculations of the excitation energies of intermediate nuclei involved in the disintegration and of the spatial and energy distributions of the disintegration products.
