Concentrations of neutral atoms and ions in the are discharge cloud glowing between carbon electrodes were measured using the irreversible resonance line broadening. The linear dependence between the line width and the concentration in ths discharge cloud was confirmed. The ratio between the atomic concentration in the discharge cloud and on the carbon electrode was determined on a thinly coated electrods. (tr-auth)
