Journal Article

ABS>After intraperitoneal injection of a mixture of Ca/sup 45/ and Sr/ sup 89/ in the rat, the Sr/Ca observed ratio in pants of a long bone, the femur, was obtained 15 minutes to 48 hours after injection. A maximal Sr content appeared in bone within 30 minutes, with the shaft showing discrimnation against Ca; during the nest 48 hours the observed ratios fell but remained consistently higher in shaft portions of the bone. Data on blood Sr/Ca ratios are also presented (auth)
