DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSIS OF THYROID AND PITUITARY SICKNESS THROUGH AN INCREASED RADIOIODINE TWO-PHASE STUDY (in German)

Journal Article · · Strahlentherapie (West Germany)
OSTI ID:4304642
The diagnostic findings of the radioiodine two-phase uptake can be increased considerably by changing loads of thyroid hormone or thyrotropic pituitary hormone. The reciprocity between hypophysis and thyroid gland can be ana lyzed more accurately by this method. The determination of the so-called speed index allows further conclusion not only with regard to the thyrotropic, but also to the whole activity of the anterior lobe of the pituitary gland. (auth)
