MECHANISM OF RADIATION EFFECT ON HEREDITY AND PROBLEM OF RADIOSENSITIVITY

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4265827
Data are compiled from a series of studies on the genetic effects of radiation and factors affecting the radiosensitivity of plants and animals. Data are included from studies on radioinduced aberrations in chromosomes, the genetic effects of radiation on the spermatogonia in monkeys, the genetic effects of radiation on fish embryos exposed during early developmental stages, the radiosensitivity of spermatogenesis in Drosophila exposed at various developmental stages, factors affecting the radiosensitivity of plants, and the effects of radiation on the synthesis of ribonucleic acid.
