GENETIC AND DIRECT EFFECTS OF $gamma$ RADIATION ON DROSOPHILA. Progress Report, 1962
Technical Report
·
OSTI ID:4694996
Progress is reported in studies of the mutagenic effects of different dosage levels of gamma rays during various stages of spermatogenesis in Drosophila melanogaster under controlled, varied genetic and environmental conditions. Data are presented on the dosage-mutation rate pattern during spermatogenesis, the relation between developmental temperature and mutational response to gamma irradiation, and the organization of genetic material on chromosomes. An analysis was made of a natural population of D. melanogaster. A list is included of publications during the period. (C.H.)
