THE DETERMINATION OF RADIOBARIUM

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4179253

The separation of radiobanium with inactive barium carrier involves their combined precipitation witu strontium as the nitrates in fuming nitric acid, scavenging with fermic hydroxide, and the precipitation of barium chromate. After dissolution of the chromate, barium chloride is precipitated from a hydrochlonic acid-ether mixture. Finally, barium carbonate is precipitated and counted. (auth)
