Systems BeO - Sm/sub 2/O/sub 3/ and BeO - Gd/sub 2/O/sub 3/ containing 99.5 to 99.9% of the basic component were studied, and the constitution diagrams were plotted at 1300 to 2500 deg C. The eutectic melting temperatures were as low as for BeOLa/sub 2/O/sub 3/. (R.V.J.)
