Motor vehicles are one of the largest emitters of ground-level ozone precursors - volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and nitrogen oxides (NOx) - into the atmosphere. This research investigates the relative effects of motor vehicle emissions of VOCs and NOx on hourly average concentrations of ground level ozone in the Indian Airshed Model (UAM-IV). The Findings of the research study are presented. This includes the results of the data analyses leading to the modeling domain definition, episodes selection, and the different UAM-IV inputs development, as well as the modeling results including the UAM-IV performance evaluation and the sensitivity analyses on VOCs and Nox emission reductions.
