- ed.
Studies on the role of early T4 genes in the repair of uv damage in phage T4 are reviewed. Some topics discussed are: comparison between uv sensitivity of phage particles and uv sensitivity of bacteria; functional survival of phage T4 early genes; role of early genes in multiplicity reactivation of phage T4; kinetics of DNA synthesis and phage production; and genetic recombination between damaged parental genomes.
