BS>X irradiation at a dose of 600 r leads to changes of the oxidative phosphorylation level in the spleen of rats. A drop of the phosphorylation level and its dissociation from the tissue respiration occurred. Administration of cystamine (in prophylactic effective doses) to the animals prior to the irradiation decreased the changes of oxidative phosphorylation in the spleen, without eliminating them completely.
