Investigations of the excited states of Er/sup 166/ from Ho/sup 166/ (>30 yr) and Tm/sup 166/, of Yb/sup 170/ from Lu/sup 170/ decay, and of La/sup 1 from Ba/sup 140/ decay are reported along with additional information on Er/sup 165/ and Er/sup 167/ levels obtained from Tm/sup 165/ and Tm /sup 167/ decay. The experimental results are discussed in terms of different nuclear models. (D.C.W.)
