DECAY OF Yb$sup 166$ $Yields$ Tm$sup 166$ $Yields$ Er$sup 16$$sup 6$ (in Russian)

Measurements were carried out on the Yb/sup 166/ specTm/ sup 166/ and Er/ sup 166/. In the latter, the quantity of Tm/sup 166/ in the mixture was determined by the rising curve. The resolving power of the apparatus permitted partial separation of the L/sub I/ + L/sub II/, L/sub III/, M, and N lines of Tm/ sub 166/ and Er/sup 166/ transitions. The corresponding conversion energies are tabulated as well as the relative intensities of Tm/sup 166/ + Er/sup 166/ and Tm/ sup 166/ and Er/sup 166/ in equilibrium. The transition multiplicities in even- even Er/sup 166/ at 79.4 kev and odd-odd Tm/sup 166/ at 81.0 kev are analyzed. The conversion intensity in Tm/sup 166/ and Er/sup 166/ is expressed as: ( + K +L + M + N)Tm/( + K + L + M + N)Er = 0.75 sintering time 0.30. (R.V.J.)
