DEOXYRIBONUCLEIC ACID INSTABILITY IN THE PRESENCE OF CHLORAMPHENICOL IN ULTRA-VIOLET-LIGHT-EXPOSED BACTERIA

Journal Article · · Biochem. Biophys. Research Communs
The relation of nibonucleic acid to desoxynibonucleic acid synthesis was studied in cultures of Escbenichia coli. Dath are presented on the effects of cliloramphenicol added immediately following ultraviolst irradiation on the synthesis of desoxyribonucleic acid. Possible reaction mechanisms involved are discussed. (C.H.)
