NUCLEAR MAGNETIC RESONANCE OF Tb$sup 159$ IN POWDERED METALLIC TERBIUM IN THE FERROMAGNETIC STATE (in French)

The nuclear magnetic resonance of powdered metallic Tb/sup 159/ was measured at the temperature of liquid nitrogen in order that the terbium would be sharply ferromegnetic. The frequency range 2600 to 3200 Mc was investigated. In the vicinity of 3047 Mc a variation of the losses, having the form of an absorption ray, was observed in measurements at 77 deg K. The results obtained for the nuclear transition frequency are in good agreement with experiments on the hyperfine structure of Tb/sup 3+/ (J.S.R.)
