NUCLEAR REACTOR
A nuclear reactor installation provided with several heat exchange circuits mounted in parallel is described. In order to avoid excessive coolant losses from the reactor vessel in case of a leak in a component of one of these circuits, these circuits, each comprising a heat exchanger and a circulating pump, are closed over the reactor vessel via inlet and outiet valves, which may be closed in order to shut off the damaged circuit. The closure of these valves is controlled by an instrument measuring the fluid flow in each outiet duct of the reactor vessel at a small distance downstream from the outiet valve, so that an excessive fluid flow in the duct induces automatically the closure of the corresponding outiet and inlet valves.
