Bone and bone marrow spaces in dosimetry of beagle skeletons

Following previously reported work on temporal and spatial distribution of $sup 90$Sr--$sup 90$Y and of $sup 226$Ra in beagle humeri and skeleton , bone space parameters (surface, volume, and trabecular thickness) are here presented. Measurements were carried out by a coupled microscope-computer system. Implications of the bone space dimensions on local $sup 90$Y--$sup 90$Sr and $sup 226$Ra dose to osteo- genic and hematopoietic elements are discussed. (UK)
