Bone and marrow spaces of beagle skeletons in dosimetry of $sup 90$Sr and $sup 226$Ra

Humeral surface and volume and trabecular thickness were measured by a coupled microscope-computer system. Implications of the bone space dimensions on local $sup 90$Sr--$sup 90$Y and $sup 226$Ra dose to osteogenic and erythrogenic elements are discussed. Microradiographs are shown of transverse and sagittal sections of the beagle humerus. (HLW)
