ON VALENCY OF RHENIUM IN ITS THIOCYANATE COMPLEX COMPOUND (in Russian)

Journal Article · · Zh. Analit. Khim.
OSTI ID:4019740

It was shown that rhenium(V) forms two complex compounds with thiocyanate ions: a yellow-green one with the maximum absorption at 350 m mu and a red-orange one with the maximum absorption at 420 m mu . Under certain conditions a reversible conversion of one complex into the other is possible. The red-orange rhenium-thiocyanate compound was precipitated by means of Rayse-I salt and analyzed for Re, Pt, and S. It follows from the data obtained that the composition of the complex red-orange rheniumthiocyanate anion can be expressed by the formula
