A TUNNEL DIODE SINGLE CHANNEL PULSE HEIGHT ANALYZER

A single-channel pulse-height analyzer is described using tunnel diodes as discrimination and shaping elements. Results obtained with the instrument give a base line of 10 mv to 10 v and channel width of 0 to 100 mv. Drift due to temperature is 5 mv/10 deg C. Dead time is less than 1 mu sec and minimum rise time of input pulse is 10 nanosec. (auth)
