A TRANSISTORIZED SINGLE CHANNEL PULSE HEIGHT ANALYZER (in German)

Journal Article · · Nuclear Instr. & Methods
A fully transistorized single channel pulse height analyzer has been developed. The instrument has been designed for use with trinsistor amplifiers but can be used with valve amplifiers as well (with the help of a 1 : 10 attenuator). It can be used in two kinds of operations: as normal single channel and as double discriminator with two independently adjustabie thresholds. Furthermore it can be operated with input pulses with rise-times from 0.1 to 20 mu sec; pulse heights from 0.07 to 10.0 V can be analyzed. The stability of the threshold is 0.1% over long periods, the temperature coefficient is less than 0.02%/ deg C. The channel width is independent from the channel position within 1% (from the channel width). By a special design the accuracy of measurements of low energy spectra together with a strong high energy underground is improved. (auth)
