SUPERCONDUCTIVITY OF Nb$sub 3$Sn IN PULSED FIELDS OF 185 KILOGAUSS

Journal Article · · Phys. Rev. Letters

The superconductivity of Nb/sub 3/Sn wires in pulsed axial magnetic fields up to 185 kgauss is studied, from 1.6 to 4.0 deg K. A linear dependence of the critical current on the applied field is found at each temperature. The effect of transverse magnetic fields is discusssd. (T.F.H.)
