(d,{sup 2}He) reactions at E{sub d} = 125.2 MeV

We have measured cross sections for (d,{sup 2}He) induced reactions on the p-shell nuclei {sup 6}Li, {sup 12}C and {sup 13}C and the sd- shell nuclei {sup 24}Mg and {sup 26}Mg at an energy of E{sub d}=125.2 MeV. The measured 0{sup 0}(d,{sup 2}He) cross sections show a remarkably well-defined linear relation with the Gamow-Teller strengths deduced either from {Beta}-decay or from (p,n) reactions. We will present the measured angular distributions and then compare the data with DWBA model calculations. Finally, as an example of the applications of (d,{sup 2}He) reactions, we will present the Gamow-Teller matrix elements measured for {sup 48}Ti(d,{sup 2}He) {sup 48}Sc reactions. These matrix elements are important to constrain calculations for the double beta decay of {sup 48}Ca.
