Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:10134909
CQ, Inc., its team members, Howard University and Fossil Fuel Sciences, and industry advisors from coal-burning utilities and coal- producers, are developing HAPs-Rx, a software tool for accurately predicting the reduction of trace elements from coal using coal cleaning. This effort will tie the mode of occurrence of trace elements to their reduction during coal cleaning and will enable the development of improved methods of removing trace elements from coal. In this quarter, project personnel completed the compilation of the final data sets fir all four project coals, issued a report of mode of occurrence determinations of trace elements in the project coals, and continued evaluations of chemical/biological cleaning systems.
