Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:10130458
CQ, Inc., its team members, Howard University and Fossil Fuel Sciences, and industry advisors from coal-burning utilities and coal producers, are developing HAPs-Rx, a software tool for accurately predicting the reduction of trace elements from coal using coal cleaning. this effort will tie the mode of occurrence of trace elements to their reduction during coal cleaning and will enable the development of improved methods of removing trace elements from coal. Efforts in this quarter have focused on evaluation of washability data for the Powder River Basin coal, continuance of mode of occurrence determinations for the trace elements, and evaluation of chemical/biological cleaning systems.
