The Retail Market Tools and Services (RMT&S) business unit is dedicated to ensuring the future prosperity of its members by enlarging the electricity market, improving electricity`s value to customers through productivity, profitability and lifestyle enhancements, and increasing the corporate value of members. To accomplish this, RMT&S provides the tools needed to successfully bring technology-based products and services to retail markets. Working in concert with EPRI`s technology development programs, RMT&S products help member utilities design a portfolio of products and services that is not only profitable, but expands the total market for electricity. This document describes how RMT&S is applying its past experience in market analysis and product design to answer the business issues that face the retail side of the utility. RMT&S offers members the stepping stones required to build profitable product portfolios that ultimately expand the electricity market.
