Title: Final Report for US DOE Grant DE-FG02-99ER54527

The failure of the NSTX-U coil in 2016 resulted in a redirection of UCLA’s NSTX-U research program. At that time UCLA had two functioning fluctuation reflectometer systems installed on the tokamak and was in the process of installing the new DBS/CPS system. These projects were placed on hold due to the NSTX-U recovery effort. UCLA in consultation with DOE OFES began a program of utilizing the equipment installed at NSTX-U in order to maximize the science output. In these discussion it was decided to move the V-band 50-75 GHz and the W-band 83-88 GHz multifrequency fluctuation reflectometer systems to the DIII-D tokamak. This would achieve two goals – to continue to provide important scientific input the US fusion research program and to test the new W-band system in a fusion research relevant plasma.
