The unit cell, defined by lattice constants a = b =more » 5.741 Å and c = 12.101 Å, contains 20 atoms, with 12 S atoms occupying the general site, and six Nb atoms having two inequivalent positions. Helimagnetic order is verified by the presence of a prominent kink in the magnetic susceptibility at 131 K as measured within a 100 Oe external magnetic field. The NbS2-derived hole pockets at Γ and K are shown in black, while additional bands arising from Cr intercalation are shown in green. The three dispersive bands, labeled α, β1, and β2, found near the zone center are the focus of this experimental work.« less
