Letter (from Dr. Winkler to Dr. Schunck of Leuna) concerning certain experiments in the 700 atm vapor phase (in German)

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:7307598
In this letter it was mentioned that the current experiments were giving much too high a percentage (85 percent) of gasoline in the product, leaving almost no B-product, so it was intended to raise the loading (above the present value of 1 kg/l/hr) to the point that about 50 to 60 percent of the product was gasoline. This would give possibilities of better mixing of A- and B-products, and this would allow phenol content to be reduced below 0.1 percent. It would also improve the aniline point and the aromatics content. (It had been found that the catalyst in use was a strongly aromatizing catalyst, as seen by the aniline point of the gasoline distilled up to 165/sup 0/C.)
