Case history of polymer waterflooding: Brelum Field Unit

Conference ·
OSTI ID:7301283
A polymer (Pusher 723) flood was started in the lower Government Wells sand (36-1490 md permeability, 29.3 percent porosity), Brelum Field Unit. The crude has a gravity of 22/sup 0/ API and a gas-free viscosity of 10 cp at 112/sup 0/F (reservoir temperature). By December 1, 1972, 196,000 bbl had been recovered of the 650,000 bbl predicted recovery. The prediction for a straight waterflood was 400,000 bbl.
