SAPP: a post-processor for two-dimensional finite element codes. [For plotting deformed shapes and stress contours on meshes]

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:7288303

This report is a user's manual for the post-processor SAPP. SAPP reads the familied binary plot files generated by the two-dimensional finite element codes presently used at LLL, plotting contours, time histories, and deformed shapes. Contours of nearly 100 different quantities may be plotted on meshes consisting of triangular and variable node (4 to 8 nodes/zone) quadrilateral elements. SAPP can compute a variety of strain measures at either Gauss integration or nodal points. If desired, momenta can also be computed for each material.
