ORION: an interactive post-processor for the analysis codes NIKE2D, DYNA2D, and TACO2D

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:5152112

This report provides a user's manual for the post-processor, ORION. ORION reads the binary plot files generated by the two-dimensional finite element codes currently used at LLNL and plots contours, time histories, and deformed shapes. Contours of a large number of quantities may be plotted on meshes consisting of triangular and quadrilateral elements. ORION can compute a variety of strain measures, interface pressures along slide lines, reaction forces along constrained boundaries, and momentum. ORION is operational on the CDC 7600 and Cray-1 computers.
