Optimizing path printed circuit board router

A printed circuit interconnection router which combines the macro-cell topological orientation of classical channel routers with exhaustive breadth-first search capabilities of traditional wave front expansion is described. Details of implementation and some example layouts are shown to demonstrate the routers' ability to yield 90 percent or more of connections required on a variety of two layer boards.
