Calculation of the cross section and excitation function for the (. gamma. ,d. gamma. ') reaction with production of the. gamma. ' line 2. 23 MeV in the nuclei /sup 6/ Li, /sup 7/Li, /sup 7/Be, /sup 11/B, /sup 14/N, and /sup 16/O

A formula has been derived for the cross section of the A(..gamma..,d..gamma..')A-2 reaction with production of the quasimonochromatic ..gamma..' line 2.23 MeV in a nucleus A with an unstable nucleus A-1 taking part in the reaction mechanism as a virtual particle. On the basis of the expression obtained, we have estimated the cross section and excitation function of the reaction in the /sup 6/Li nucleus. We have explained the existence of a correlation (a direct dependence) between the values of the (..gamma..,d) and (..gamma..,d..gamma..') cross sections in the nuclei /sup 7/Li, /sup 9/ Be, and /sup 14/ N.
