A method is presented for the determination of 0.005 to 10 mg of fluoride in various types of atmospheric samples by the colorimetric fluoride titration which utilizes the bleaching action of the fluoride ions on a thorium-alizarin lake. Suitable sampling methods and preparation of various type samples is discussed. The interferences and contamination sources leading to errors in the determination are discussed. (BLM)
